Annoula

The dreams of a child are peace.
The dreams of a mother are peace.
The words of love under the trees are peace.
The father who returns at dusk with a smile in his eyes
with a basket in his hands full of fruit
and the drops of sweat on his brow
are like drops on a jug as it cools its water on the windowsill,
are peace.

Mama Aliki, Anna, Mark & Phil!
(Austin, Texas, May 1996)

Mama Aliki came all the way from Greece,
I cried and cried (I ALWAYS do on...happy moments),
and then...it all sank in: Mark a grown up man!

Christiana with her dad!
(Austin, Texas, December 1998)

Christiana's turn!!!
Once again Mama Aliki came, and once again in her presence we saw all our extended family being with us at this special time.
Christiana, we are so very proud of you!!!

So that, when I said sun or light or God, I knew what I was talking about.
Because you placed whithin me the holy gift of love, made of flowers of truth.
And it is with those that I have woven your little wreath today that resembles a small sun circle.
